Summary of This RoleInstall, configure, maintain, support, and secure the organization's network communications, including LANs and/or WANs. Identifies network problems, isolates root causes, and initiates corrective action. Determines priority of action and additional resources required, based on severity of service interruption. Provides technical analysis to all customers to isolate issues and develop strategies to restore or activate services. Interacts with Telecommunication Engineers, LAN Administrators, and transmission and RF staff regarding ongoing network activities. Ascertains compliance with security, safety, and environmental guidelines. Generates reports on network performance, trouble-shooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements. This role requires individuals to work within the demands a global 24x7 High availability transaction oriented network. Ability to translate business requirements into network requirements and collaboratively work with other technical teams to deliver an overall solution.What Part Will You Play? Install, configure, evaluate and make recommendations regarding infrastructure equipment as a subject matter expertLoad software, customize and configure systems and software to optimize resource requirements and audit the system to minimize vulnerability to penetration and abuse.Install new or rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with TSYS build standards.Automate the provisioning of servers, services and end-user devices giving users access to data repositories or authorization to systems, network applications and databases.Review work orders and designs to provide critical feedback to the requestor and other business areas to accept, adapt or decline solution development effort.Troubleshoot networking services and application protocols; direct other business and technical teams during problem solving.Deploy changes in accordance with change control process; assist with the creation and updating of change control process guidelines. Support team members with change control process and escalations.What are we looking for in this role?
