Controlling Specialist

About the opportunity

We are looking for a talent to join us in the position of Controlling Specialist, who will be responsible to carry out the accounting and month-end cost allocation routines, management and statutory reporting and other routines inherent to the accounting department in large companies. The main responsibility of this person is to drive the month-end cost allocation in SAP system in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Description

• Monthly closing process and analysis of the P&L for a proper understanding and control
• Guide, supervise and/or execute the control of the company's closing schedule in order to ensure that the month-end and year-end cost allocation are executed in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepare and execute monthly closing reviews, identify deviations, analysis of key drivers and present.
• Guide and assist the internal and external stakeholders on the technical accounting related matters
• Periodically preparing the financial statements of the period as well as preparing KPI's and various reports on the performance of the area, for control and decision making
• Supervise and support the work of Analyst.
• Respond to inquiries from employees and internal customers, urgent requests precisely and accurately.
• Prepare reports and monitor KPI's of the area.
• Support continuous improvement journey, by evaluating legal requirements, internal controls and ERP system rules.
• Carry out other activities inherent to the position or at the discretion of their immediate superior, provided they are qualified and are in accordance with their knowledge and experience.

Requirement

• Degree in Accounting. MBA in finance or business will be a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting routine, month-end closing and SAP CO module.
• Previous experience in cost allocation of large industry is mandatory.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP system, modules CO. Knowledge in the modules FI/SD/MM/PM/AA will be a plus.
• Proficiency in month-end and year-end cost allocation in SAP system. Knowledge in SAP S4HANA will be a plus.
• Advanced in Microsoft Office applications, mainly MS Excel.
• Good communication skill with stakeholders of all levels.
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments and international colleagues, being able to find solutions to critical problems affecting proper reporting process and information.
• Previous management and team leadership will be a plus.
• Motivation, proactivity and strong analytical profile.
• Proficiency in BR GAAP, US GAAP & IFRS standard.
• Brazilian Federal Accounting Board Registration will be a plus.
• Advanced English language skill will be a plus.
• Willing to travel for work purpose.
• Must be willing to work onsite at Campinas.
