About the Role:

Delta Offshore is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Shipbroker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maritime industry with a proven track record of brokering and managing large-scale offshore shipping transactions. This role requires excellent market knowledge, client relationship management skills, and the ability to negotiate complex deals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the shipping industry.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including ship owners, charterers, and operators, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations for charter parties, sale and purchase agreements, and other contractual arrangements, ensuring favorable terms for all parties involved.
  • Deal Execution: Oversee the entire transaction process from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to build and expand your professional network and promote the company's services.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior brokers, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on market activity, deal flow, and performance metrics for management.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in shipbroking or a related maritime industry role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in maritime software and market intelligence tools.
  • Network: Extensive network of industry contacts and a demonstrated ability to generate new business.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
