Role Description:


You'll be responsible for activities related to the subsystem validation of the Infotainment and Connectivity on board features. As an Infotainment and Connectivity Automotive Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the infotainment and connectivity systems within our vehicles. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing tests to validate the performance, functionality, and interoperability of these systems.


The activities could be different based on skills and accountability:


  • Evaluation of the compliance to the onboard features requirements of the Infotainment and Connectivity Stellantis ECUs on testing bench or car.
  • Evaluation of the requirement compliance of the on board of the connectivity feature available in Stellantis car. In this case, the activity will be focused on the on board apps and ECU FWs.
  • Implementation of test automation feature and automatize manual tests.
  • Test bench commissioning and management.
  • Planning activities based on workload and project complexity



Main tasks of the test engineer are:


  • Develop test plans and strategies for infotainment and connectivity systems based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Design and implement test cases to evaluate the functionality, performance, and compatibility of infotainment features such as audio/video playback, navigation, voice recognition, connectivity options (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE) and connected features (eCall, bCall, Remote Operation, etc.)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and designers to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Set up and maintain test environments, including test benches, simulators, and vehicles equipped with the latest infotainment technologies.
  • Execute tests manually and/or automate test procedures using scripting or test automation tools to improve efficiency and repeatability.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects or areas for improvement, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to automotive infotainment and connectivity testing.


Main Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in automotive testing, with a focus on infotainment and connectivity systems.
  • Proficiency in testing tools and methodologies, including manual testing, test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools (e.g., Agile, JIRA, Git).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fastpaced environment.
  • Vehicle Functions Specification, Component technical specifications and Test Cases description / executions
  • Basic Knowledge of standard tools in the electronic field.
  • Basic Knowledge of automotive special tools such as Vector CanAnalyzer, Canoe
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office SW package
  • Fluent English.
  • Good team working capabilities.
  • Strong attitude to Problem solving.
  • Autonomy and determination to achieve objectives.
  • Fast learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communication, etc).
  • Driving license.


Desirable skills:

  • Basic knowledge of mobile communication standard (e.g. 5G/LTE) and protocol
  • Bluetooth protocol and USB interface protocol basic knowledge
  • Acoustic and RF knowledge, RDS and DAB protocol competences
  • Proficient use of instruments such as RF generators, Spectrum analyzers, Audio analyzers, dataloggers, oscilloscopes
  • Good knowledge of basic C / C# / C-like programming (CAPL)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux OS
  • Basic knowledge of Arduino/Raspberry prototyping
  • Basic knowledge of Arduino C-like programming language
  • Basic knowledge of Python programming language
  • Basic knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. SSH, Telnet)
